A customer needed some architectural elements to add to a custom made glazed door. Something that obviously could not be done with standard wood working machinery. These accents will be coped into an existing muntin. We also made a shaper sled for the coping operation by routing out a negative pocket in a 3/4" mdf blank so the part could snugly fit inside and have the trailing end of the cut be backed up to prevent blowout when its run against the shaper fence. This extra step provides for an accurate cope cut and safety for the operator by not having their hands close to the shaper cutter.
